Relationship Between Obesity and Menstrual Cycle Disorders in Adolescent Girls at SMP Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding School Batu in 2021

Background: Results of the Riskesdas Nasional 2010 stated that as many 13.7% Indonesian women experienced menstrual cycle disorders. Menstrual disorders in women, particularly adolescent girls, needs special attention because they can have a long-term impact on their reproductive health. The most influential cause is hormonal imbalance. This may be caused by several factors, including obesity. Therefore, this research conducted to analyze relationship between obesity and girls. Method: observational analytic with cross-sectional design. In 2021, 7th 8th grade girls at SMP Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding School Batu were sampled using total sampling technique. A questionnaire multiple questions about characteristics, nutritional status, was used gather information needed for research. Result: From 202 respondents who filled out questionnaire, 19.8% obese 43.1% had As 65% 40 suffered from Hypothesis testing reveals significant (p = 0.002). Conclusion: Obesity influences occurrence are up 3.075 times more likely than non-obese
